EVENTS:

1. On 13th January 2004, National Institute of Personnel Management – Pune Chapter in association with Quality Circle Forum of India – Pune Chapter convened a meet where NIPM members and HR managers from different industries had a tête-à-tête on Quality Initiatives in HR.

94 HR professionals from 65 organizations attended the meet at QCFI Excellence Center in Pune. The chief guest of the function was Padmashri Lila Poonawala, Chairperson Emeritus, QCFI – Pune Chapter. Others who shared the dais with her were Mr. Milind Kaulgud – Chairman, NIPM – Pune Chapter, Mr. S V Joshi – Chairperson, and Mr. Satish Kalokhe – Co-Chairman, QCFI.

The discussion highlighted the role of HR in involving and developing employees with continuous improvements through various tools, techniques and standards available in the current competitive scenario. Mrs. Poonawala appreciated the presence of so many HR professionals dedicated to the cause of Human Resource Development. She also expressed the need for such interactions frequently in the near future.

.2. On January 16th, 17th & 18th 2003, National Institute of Personnel Management, Pune Chapter organized the 22nd Annual National Conference at Chandrasekhar auditorium of IUCCA, Pune University, Pune. The theme of the conference was “Navigating HR Towards World Class Business”. The motto behind this congregation was to provide an opportunity to explore new frontiers of knowledge, share experiences, exchange views and take home concrete action plan. An overwhelming response from members was received at this meet exceeding 450.

3. On 27th & 28th June 2001, National Seminar was organized at Pune, which aimed at “Business Growth Through People Management”. The participants mostly the professionals in Human Resource Development sought to enhance & build capabilities to manage HR in the current & future environments.

4. On 27th & 28th January 1998, Western Regional Conference was held in Pune. The theme was “ Business Realities - HRM Perspective”. The meet received a participation of 350 members across all districts of Maharashtra and Mumbai. The theme of the conference was chosen keeping in view the liberalization of the Indian economy and challenging role HRM professionals have to play in the changing industrial and economic scenario.
